Three councilors in on snowgates
Councilors Kenny Anderson Jr. and Greg Jamison on Tuesday signed the petition to take snowgates to a public vote. Councilor Kermit Staggers signed it at an earlier date, and Theresa Stehly brought the petition to Tuesday’s informational meeting to make it easier for councilors to sign.
Stehly, chairwoman for Members of Citizens for Snow Gates, is working with more than 40 volunteers to gather signatures.
The group needs 5,500 and is at about 3,200 now. Volunteers are spending about 30 hours a week at the Minnehaha County Courthouse.
